Self-assertion

A statement about any aspect of an App by its App Creator.

For example, an App Creator may self-assert on their website that personal information of App Users has a Data Retention Period of 4 weeks.

This self-assertion could be confirmed in an Audit in which an independent outside party investigates data storage and deletion procedures, and observes the data deletion within these 4 weeks.
